Home from vacation

I just realized that I think i forgot to post that I was going away for a few days. I had a great time and have lots of stories to tell and pictures to post...but am dog tired after a heinous experience with my flight home on US Air. I do not recommend them at all! (The flight leaving was very stressful too - more later)

  1. Welcome home! I had bad flight experiences on American Airlines both to and from Cayman on my vacation - not sure there is a really great airline out there (though this puts the customer service I have received from Air Canada right up there and they are MUCH faster at checking people in). The staff (not the stewards) at the check in desks just didn't seem to give a s&^% about anything and couldn't be bothered to move at more than a snail's pace, which made SO MANY OF US nearly miss repeated flights. Very annoying.
Anyway glad you're back - Looking forward to peeking at your photos.

  2. Welcome home, Deb! I didn't know you were leaving, or where you went, but it was far too quiet around here for awhile there. I've heard that the customer service and timing of the airlines are becoming more and more problematic. I am leaving for NYC to meet up with my sister on the 29th. We'll play for a few days, then it's off to Tallahassee to spend a weed with my daughter. I'll be flying home to Oregon on the 7th. All connections combined, there are 8 opportunities for the airlines to screw up my trip. Oh well. I never fly without my knitting and a good book, so if worse comes to worse, I'll get plenty done. I've not had many bad experiences flying. I'll think positively that this one will be no different. Looking forward to hearing more...

  4. My airlines stuff was moderate to bad when I was flying on my vacation - i had my knitting and my iPod. A fab combination. I had to wait to knit until I got to Miami - the airport was so cold it was good to have a pile of wool stuff on my lap. It made me sweat in Grand Cayman, so I just listened to iPod and rocked out in line. People looked at me funny but I didn't give a hoot -- I was on vacation!!

  6. Hey Deb,
Am just back from a weekend of camping. Will get back to you shortly.
How is the running coming along? Sounds like you've been as busy as I have been. I've found it hard to work my running into my crazy routine as of late, but now the craziness should die down and I can get back into some healthy habits.
